Potala Palace .. TOUR TO LHASA

Kathmandu and Lhasa lie at extreme ends of a geographical spectrum, separated by more than 2,300 meters elevation. Lhasa's renowned Potala Palace, Jokhang temple and great monasteries of the desert plateau stand as centerpieces of the Tibetans resolute faith. Kathmandu's masterpiece monuments preserve both Buddhist and Hindu traditions in a lush 
valley setting. On this brief tour we'll visit both the cities, now connected by one of the highest air routes on earth. From Lhasa's Gonggar Airport, we'll drive to Zetang and on a day trip visit Chenangkdut monastery and the magnificent Valley of the Kings. Now better acclimatized for Lhasa's lofty heights, we'll enter the once forbidden city, stopping at Tibet's first monastery at same en-route. Return to Kathmandu by air or surface.
